We have built and support numerous mission critical high volume transactional processing systems both for finance and ecommerce. We have extensive experience in new media technologies and how to bring web based concepts to market. We have built, and conceived a wide range of web sites and web platforms both for our own business ventures and for a number of third parties in a multitude of sectors.
We also specialize in providing all layers of outsourced IT including procurement, service desk, and infrastructure management to small to medium sized businesses.
Kite Systems is lead by Mike Hill. Mike has a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Computing and a Masters Degree in Computer Science. Before starting Kite Systems, Mike was the CTO of AsianLogic, which he helped grow from a startup to the biggest online gaming company in Asia. Mike also holds the IT Director position at Transact 24, a global online payment processing company and also at CQ Recruit a local online legal recruitment portal. Other than his strong and diverse technical skills he has used his business acumen to achieve exponential growth of his company Kite Systems and is one of the founders and owners of the Clockenflap Music and arts festival. His domain covers application development, web technologies, infrastructure, project management and information security.
He is a lover of music, a keen Kite Surfer and is happiest in the mountains.
Pete studied Psychology at Nottingham University and subsequently joined Dixons Stores Group, Europe's largest electrical retailer, handling market research related to ecommerce and online shopping. Following this, Pete moved to Sit-Up TV, a large TV retailer specializing in TV and online auction sales. Here he held a number of roles including planning the domestic and international supply chain required to support large scale distance retail and subsequently, commercial management of the company's three online auction sites. Following this Pete moved to China to handle product sourcing before joining Kite Systems. This range of experience has given Pete a solid understanding of all aspects of online retail from product sourcing to reverse logistics solutions. Whilst not at work, Pete is an avid guitarist and technical wreck diver.
David attended the University of Oklahoma in the United States, where he acquired a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Management Information Systems. David began his career at Amoco Oil Company on the help desk team. After a year, he moved his way into the Lotus Notes/Domino infrastructure team, and eventually became the Global Infrastructure Architect. Amoco and BP merged in 1999 and David stayed with BP Amoco in the Global Infrastructure Architect role until 2003. Following this, David moved to Asia and joined Noble Group where he helped managed the Lotus Notes/Domino infrastructure there. David joined Kite Systems in 2011 and now manages the IT Services team, which provides both outsourced IT support and event technology services.
David brings a high level of project management and technical infrastructure experience in a role that demands a diverse understanding of how businesses use technology.
